What speed is your connection?

The open element thread is quite long... Lets see if you can get it to open first before trying to capture it all. Have you tried another browser? Sometimes TGO does time out. Try another browser and see if it works any better.

Are you talking about this here?:

If so, just right click on it and hit 'save target as' to save it to your computer. You'll need Microsoft Word to open the file. If you don't have Word, you can download OpenOffice. It should let you open it also:

The open element install is very simple as long as you follow the instructions carefully. If anyone is worried about grounding out either get a cleaner with a smaller diameter or maybe try covering the bottom with electrical tape.

You can do the prep work yourself, but Maaco will likely charge you an hour or two to "fix" spots before painting, unless you specifically tell them not to. They'll just "spray and pray" for cheap.

Just remember though, you get what you pay for. A paint job of $1500 sounds like a lot untill you see the paint jobs of other cars then went for $3000+ which are awesome.

Haven't removed doors myself, but I imagine the two pins should come out without removing the hinges. Unsure though. Might just have to remove the bolts holding the hinges to the doors.

Also, if you have power windows, locks, mirrors, you'll have to disconnect that part of the wiring harness from each of the items. So that means removing the door panel (which you would remove for painting anyway), the plastic water shield, then reach through the openings in the door to disconnect the harness from each item. Just drop that end of the harness in the footwell on each side.

Good luck!

painted my car with the help of my former boss, cost over 2000 all said and done and there was no labor at all. my car looks better then new but bodywork aint cheap homes. for a badass look that hides little ****, go with flat paint, inparticular flat black with some flat white stripes like car craft did on their 69' looks pretty wicked. alott cheaper too
