Ever since I changed to my GM MSD Blaster coil I have been getting a ton of pinging. It will do enough to set a Code 43 in the computer on some occasions. I've set the timing back to 0 degrees, in drive, with the wire unplugged, can't think of the name of that thing right now. Anyway I followed the right procedure I'm sure.

BTW, after it sets the code, no more pinging and it runs great. Does it go into some kind of automatic ignition retard setting or something?

Can someone give me a lesson in what causes pinging and what I can do to make it quit???
