hood clearance

Okay, here it is. 330hp 350 crate engine with the vortec air gap intake, 1/2" adaptor plate, holley 670cfm, 5.0HO dual snorkel intake. Is there room for the air gap intake? How about the performer RPM? I know the performer has room.

I don't think it will be a problem, although your getting close. Good excuse to buy a new fiberglass hood if you ask me. You'll get a litte weight savings there as well. The performer rpm should fit under stock hood. If it is dead nuts close, you can remove the hood insulation for a little more room.

The fiberglass hood is a good idea. Since my new job is payint me $23-27 an hour I think I'll be able to afford a new hood. I'm going to be shaving the door handles/locks/antenna and the front end need repainting BAD. Sounds like a good idea. air gap here I come. It's not that more expensive than the RPM.
