My friend just got an 89 s-10 tahoe Blazer with a F.I. 4.3l v-6,and claims it came stock with 250+ hp and that he could smoke me. Is that true? Could i beat him?

dude you described 3 different cars, pick one. I beat a 4.3L S-10 which has 180hp. The most those had stock was 190hp. The Typhoon was a limited edition turbo 4.3L which probably has 250hp. A Tahoe is a fullsize with probably a 350 and should be an interesting race. You'd probably loose though.

Its an S-10 Blazer with a Tahoe Package. what hp does he have?

 

180-195HP depending on year. The newer it is the lower the hp. Since I beat an s-10 extended cab you should be able to beat the blazer easy since it will be heavier. I only got rear section exaust, open element, and cold air as my sig shows. happy hunting

 

They did have a s-10 tahoe package. Those trucks are quick off the line but don't have much pull. If you get a quick launch or get up in the speeds you should win. I worked with someone who had one and we dragged on the highway (one of those lights on a 55mph stretch) and I beat him no prob(didn't have to redline). I just have cat back and K&N, no real major Hp adding mods. I won just by a few car lengths but past 60 mph you will really pull away. My roomates sisters boyfriend has one and he(my roomate)beat his s-10 with a stock 98' z-24 cav (which is a quick car!)
