Time for everything to come together, new cam?

Hi!

I haven't posted in while, except my post on clutches. I finally got the money for some more goodies. I was thinking about completing my exhaust (3 inch Flowmaster), because i still have stock manifold and cat. I just found out the Edelbrock TBI headers are not 3 inch, so I figure I should get the TPI ones, right? I need all this to be emmisions legal. I got an open element, with NO breather (would that alone fail me?). My smog test is in November. I want to put a new cam in as well. Later on this year, probably Vortec L31 heads (any comments on that?). I'm getting a new clutch and also fixing the rear end up, with 3.73 gears and posi. I got 3.08 right now, but the guy said I'll have to change carriers? Any other things I should get?

Thanks,

Ethan

Yup the TPI ones (# EDL-6872) are the ones u want if u want the 3" collector. And you will need a 3" in and 3" out catalytic converter too. The breather will not fail emmissions but you do need to put the orginal one back in there. Know what I mean? Just put the breather back on and stick the metal pole into the hole and just have it face forward. It will do the exact same thing it did before when it was in your stock assembly.
