I have the Stock Air element on my t/b Chevy pickup, On the left side where the hose comes into the element fromt he fender, there is a silver wired hose, i believe it's called the Heat riser hose? It comes up from the manifold and connects under the element, its basicly fallen apart and i wanted to know if that would affect the air deliver to my t/b?

i believe thats just a heat stove that warms incomeing air into the TB. (remember that one eric? ) If its not on it will be fine, might even make the truck seema a little more "peppy" due to the fact that the air is now gonna be cold coming into the TB.

Yeah, won't hurt a thing. I wouldn't think twice about it. And you will get colder air into the housing, I don't know how calibrated your butt-o-meter is, but it should make a -small- difference in bumper to bumper, stop and go type driving.
