High exhaust temp.
I have a 93 1/2 ton 350 t.b.i and it seems really weak at part throttle driving. At wot throttle it seems to be ok but just ok. I think it is lean or the timming is retarded. If i drive to work and touch the tailpipe the first thing i hear is sizziling flesh. It is really hot, is that lean or the timming and what can I do about it. The vehicle runs good but im concered it is too lean. I have changed the fuel filter and given the truck a tune up. It has high flow exhuast and cat does that meen I will have to have custom chip ?? thanks for the help.
that is usually a sign of lean. find an autotap or something that you can read the o2's mili's with. that will tell you for sure.

I have checked the o2 with a scan tool and at wot it is above 900 mv but at part throttle or cruising the readings from the scan tool fluctuate alot. It seems to need a lot of throttle to drive. I think more than it should.Im not sure how to read the scan tool at cruise speeds to determine it is lean.
