do the ZZ4's have 64cc chambers? if its going on a 305, i would want to have them cut down to 58cc or even 56cc, so that your compression doesn't drop so low.
Why not using the trickflows?

No the ZZ4's have 58cc chambers.I couldn't afford the trickflows right now and for 500 bucks I couldn't pass them up.Plus if I'm going to have the ZZ4 cam why not have the heads that match it if I can get them for this cheap.
$500 bucks or $1200 For the trickflows.

Ahhh, i thought from you sig, you already had the TF heads.
Sounds like a nice score. With the new cam and heads, you should make some descent power. what are the zz4 cam specs, i would bet with some tuning, you are going to in the same power range as I am, right in the 230-240 wheel HP.

What I meant about new is that they are the new revised castings, not the old L98 castings.

AH, the new 463 castings, IIRC. I would have to pop the valve cover on my 312 to tell you the truth though. Those flow awesome for a pair of stockish heads. They have 58cc chambers as well.

I just got the cam in today. It is definately brand new.The part number written on the box is 10185071.The part number scratched out is 24502586.I guess the last owner opted for a LT4 hot cam instead of this ZZ4.

Not trying to hijack, but how would the zz4 heads be with an LT4 HOTCAM and the edelbrock 3704 intake manifold?

Re: SCORE!!!!! I got new ZZ4 heads for $500!
I've been looking for a few months now for the 463 heads, and i'm not having lucky finding any reasonable prices. There's some joker establishment on ebay that always has the 463 heads for $740 each! I sent him a message saying he's a good $250 above retail, for a set. Yep, i'm not having much luck. So tell us how your ZZ4 cam and heads worked out for your TBI. What kind of tuning did you have to do?

Wow, '463 heads at $740 each? For that much money just get a set of AFR 195 Street Eliminator heads. And go much faster with the better heads for the same amount of money (or a little less, I believe the AFR 195's are around $1450 a pair).

Ya, i know man. I sent them (it's a Mail Order establishment) an email asking them if there was a mistake, and if that was the price for a pair. I was thinking they were crazy when the response indicated that was the price for one head. Good luck to them. Also, what i was thinking on the AFR heads.. far superior.
