Differential, O.E.M, Zexel-torsen:Is this the slp posi take-off?

I just need to know if that is the slp posi takeoff and if not what is it called and where can i find it? Thanks

that is the 300 one i think. the regular take out is just a torsen, nt zexel i think.

No, the $99 one is the regular Torsen unit, and is the take-off unit that comes in new Camaro's and Firebirds. The $299 unit is the heavy duty Torsen, its supposed to be stronger and better.

what i put in my post is my exact purchase order or part of it. Differential, O.E.M. Zexel-Torsen Camaro/Firebird 99.95.. am i missing something?

yeah there is a heavy duty and a regular one (that came off the new f-bodies). they are both zexel torsen as far as i know.

i don't know exactly what the difference is between the two of them though.

Brian is right, they are both Zexel-Torsen. That is just part of the company's name, which by the way is actually , or was, Gleason-Zexel-Torsen. Gleason has been a big industrial gear manufacturer in the US for years.

And as posted above, the eom take off is the SLP $99 special, and the HD is the $299.

I bought one of each about 2 1/2 years ago. If I ever get a link back to an old page I had, I'll show you pics of the two units side by side on my workbench. There are some interesting case and ring gear flange strength differenses.

Transmission: fixed the 700r4 again!
i recently bought one of the take off units and when i talked to SLP ther said i could handle about 375 HP. and the heavy duty ones could handle 500-600 HP.
