I am new to injection & computers

I have run big blocks and carbs all my life. I am new to this TBI and computer stuff. I have a low mileage 91 RS Camaro with 305 TBI. What engine modifications can be made with out goofing up the computer. If I play with the TBI and intake, cam, and ignition, how does it affect the computer on this thing. Can you get a supercharger for a TBI car? What about these aftermarket chips can they work with these modifications. Any information or website suggestions would be great. Thanks.

yes you can mod them.
and there are superchargers for them
vortec just came out with a new one
some mods still work with the stock chip
learn to program your own here.
cheaper.

welcome to the board. check out our archives and do a local search on the tbi board for "first mod" or somethin and you will be bombarded with answers.

I have spent a few hours searching through the messages. This site is terrific! You guys seem to know yours stuff. However I haven't exactly been able to link up what stuff can be done with the existing chip in place. It appears that intake and air filter, rockers, & larger exhaust mods won't affect the computer. True?

wont effect it too much that your car wont run. but just like a carb, it usually runs best if you retune/setup after each mod.

im not into chip burning, but i know that the computer can only compensate so much, and it is obviously best to adjust things that could/should be adjust when doing mods that work with a computer, so you can get the very most out of them.

but ya, those mods are ok with computer.
