overheating/bad shift
overheating/bad shift
i am having a problem with my 89 TBi camaro. It heats up really fast and i have to keep on the fan via the AC. I replaced the Thermostat again to make sure. that wasnt it. it sems to have power but not putting it to the pavment. What I mean is that it will have ***** in first and then be fast, somtimes it shifts back into 1st and launch but then the check enginelight comes on and it is really slow and shifts crappy. By the way, i also have a brand new V8 radiatior, plenty of fluied. i went form a 6-8, somone told me my cat could be too much back presure and causing this? timing? I really would appreciate any replies guys, thank you for reading my post.

i think a smaller cat could heat up the rest of the engine by not allowing it to breath out. also killing performance. thats were a legitamit request for a test pipe comes in from a muffler shop.
