Ok this was so good that I had to post the idea twice
I just had a great idea... I could go ahead and buy the 91 L03 5-speed RS I've been looking at, then... (this is the ingenious part) I could start building up the TPI 350 I have in the garage (Which by the way IS for sale, look in the parts for sale forum), and while I do that I can use the old L98 parts on my L03! For instance say I get a new cam for the L98... I put the old cam on the L03... then I get the vortec heads for the 350, have the L98 heads milled (pocket ported possibly) and put them on the L03. Then I can just add a Performer manifold to the list (and of course headers that fit both motors) and I think that I would have a killer L03. It's the best of both worlds I think... I mean I would be investing in a 350 that I could put in the car later down the road, but still building up my L03 at the same time... Two motors... for the price of one?
What do you guys think? L03 with L98 cam, milled L98 heads, Performer manifold, and TPI sized headers... Anyone think that it's a good idea?
