About to order my K&N open element from summit. I need to know which one to get though.
KNN-60-1430
7/8 in. drop will fit carburetors with electric choke mechanisms.

Vent kit is available, KNN-85-1190.

Fits 5 1/8 in. flange carburetors.

Total height above carburetor flange is 2 3/4 in.

I'm thinking it's the second one. Any guesses?

 

the second is way too tall, the other is a little to short, and you will have to do something with your airfilter mounting stud. the threads arent going to go down far enough. check with blue92rs, he got that exact one i think.

 

Thanks snuf, I really think it's the #60-1430. I don't believe it requires any adjusting either. Just a breather for the passenger side valve cover. Anyone care to confirm or argue?

 

yes you need a breather on the valve cover. I could not find one that just pushed in that will clear all of those wires and stuff so I just rubberbanded a new breather filter ($1.50) on the end of that metal hose.
