Proper steps for getting 300+hp on 305 tbi
Can anyone list the proper way to get 300+ hp on a 305tbi without using NOS........I am in the process of rebuilding the transmission and after that I want to explore my options.......

1.)replace the intake and heads
2.)the cam has got to go!!!!!
3.)swap the ecm(to a 7747 or hack your current ecm) or pay out the a$$ for a "custom" chip, and even then its not as good as something you could do w/ a little time.
4.)swap the TB for one out of a 454 or a holley. the TB is not the biggest roblem but it will be later.
5.)bigger injectors.. 40# are just not gonna work with more then a little mods..
6.)exhaust!!!! the stock exhaust is VERY small for any V8.. 1 5/8 headers are "best" for most v8's.. even LT1's
this should get you to 300+HP if not very close.. Also gears and a aftermarket Tq converter would help a lot. you probley have 2.73's and an 1800 stall now... think how a set of 3.73 and a 2800 stall converter would be!!!
