ok, i think i might be loosin pressure or something with the fuel pump.
cause once starting shed kick pretty good. then after awhile LARGE power drop.
just replaced filter. and relay

so i was thinking about changing to an AE pump etc.
but i need to know what you guys think.
i dont know that much about what would be neeed. or if it would ever help.

its a 91 pont 305 TBI 60,000 miles

thanx Guys!

Well, I would test it to make sure the fuel pump is losing pressure, cause it sure sucks to change. Major pain in the *** (at least it was for me) Get an accurate reading on the pressure and kill the engine. Keep an eye on the guage and see how long it takes to bleed off the pressure. Do this when the fuel pump is hot, like after a good drive.

And the stock pump should do you just fine, plus less install hassle. I am on my STOCK pump in mine:
115,000 miles old. Never ran out of fuel yet. And if it went bad, then I might upgrade, but only then.

The TBI regulator bleeds off pressure almost instantly when the ignition is cut. Besides that test is what you would do for faulty injectors on an mpfi app. (like they are leaking) if you want to be sure hook up a gauge so that you can see it while driving (dont put it in the car maybe sit it on your rear view mirror or your windshield) and look at the pressure drop. The pumps generally run crappier when hot if they are going bad. Just run a low tank, like less than a 1/4 and drive around for a bit.. now stomp on it and run it up in the rpms and look for large pressure drops if you see it drop that means you have a problem.

ok, im gonna look into doing the test, but.

changing the pump will give me no advantage either way?

the mufflers off right now so i could just drop down the tank. plus i see in summit the most exspensive one is like 70. (i think)
thnx
