Idle surges when ac is turned on

Idle surges when ac is turned on
The car runs fine but when the ac is turned on the idle surges about 500 rpms i have no idea what could be causing this. any help would be apreciated.

Your car needs some extra power to run the compressor so it surges the idle a bit, a 500rpm jump is a bit high compared to mine. Mine surges from the 500rpm idle to 650rpm, not a big jump at all.
