ok, next question on TBI conversion
i am still running through all my options here, i appreciate all the info that everyone has given me. My next question is, so you guys think i should go ahead and put a 350 TBI in the car, or just put a carb on it. Its a really nice car, thats one of the reasons i have about butchering up the car. I know that TBI has its problems, and is restrictive, but having fuel injection and a computer can be nice also. How big of cam can you put in a stock TBI setup? is a 268xtreme cam to big? Is there a certian RPM that the TBI won't do the job anymore? I know I have asked alot of questions and I appreaciate all the info, I have never done a swap quite like this before, and I just want to try and get all the information that I can before I tear into it. Thanks.

tbi is not restrictive, the engines it came on were.
tbi can go ~500 rpm higher than carb.
you can use any cam you want, as long as you learn how to burn your own chips and have the time to do it and learn it.
advantages are better mileage, increased engine life from smoother running, and drivability.

go read and study the archives of the prom burning board.
also there is a tech article link at the top of that board.
any information you will ever need to know about cars for the rest of your life can be found here.
also. i beleive jprevost would burn you a custom chip for a reasonable price.
