brake booster

i swaped motor recently and along with the swap i added and edelbroke performer intake. but, there is no open on the intake for the booster to hook into. What i did was i took a rubber hose and hook it up to some vacuum on the intake behind the t.b.i unit. Will this work? Will i have to do something else. Do i need the booster?

Yes, you need the booster and I think that hookup will work fine. Matter of fact, that is exactly how I'm hooking up my Performer manifold to my booster...
