Is this reasonable?
Can I squeeze 300hp out of my TBI 305 with just a cam, bolt-ons, and tuning? I have been thinking of replacing the motor with more displacement or a TPI intake, but I could live with it at this level of power.

I want to reach that number without power adders. I know that 1hp per cubic inch is very possible these days, I just don't know if I would need to change my intake.

get some larger heads, cam and an intake. buy some chip burning software, and be prepared to take a few months to get all tuned. and you could get that much out of the 305. but never much more than that without internal work like crank, and new high compression pistons etc.. that is the case where you might as well be working on a 350 block.
