Bring a timing light and play around with the timing a little. At the track really is the best place to check the results of different timing settings. Between rounds open your hood to help the engine cool faster, and run it as little as possible until you are about to pull up to the line.

N2o is an option to get into the 13's.
There are lots of tricks like disconnecting front sway bar endlinks. Search the forum, there is plenty of info on the site.

I found that to cool the engine fast, I turn on the A/C with the engine off, but the key on while your in the pit area. This turns on the cooling fan way cooler. Cooler than the Hypertech Fan Switch I just bought. And yea, put the hood up too.

Also, if I pull the plug from the back of the A/C compressor (and wrap it w/tape so it don't ground out), then the fan will stay on while I am pulling up to the staging lanes, but the compressor won't kick on. That helps keep the engine cool while it's running, but again doesn't turn on the A/C. Just a little trick I figured out somehow.

I guess I ain't as dumb as I look.
