Fuel Lines

OK getting the HOT 305 ready to go and having one problem.....The fuel lines will not line up because the manifold is higher and the spacer raises it even more. The question can I splice a rubber fuel ine in the middle like a Carb would use to get a little more play in the lines....

THanks

I have heard of people doing that. I think they got a special fuel hose for high pressure pumps. That's what is between the tank and the hard fuel lines. Isn't it?
I ain't 100% on that. GL

I just bend mine and I went from stock to the edelbrock RPM, 1" adaptor, holley unit. The only hard part was getting the fuel lines on the TB. I found it much easier to install the fuel lines while the TB is just floating above the intake. THEN I just pushed the thing into place and had a friend tighted it down. My problem wasn't the length of the lines but the little vacuum piece (ported) was hitting the line and I couldn't figure a way around it.

leaking fuel is bad. obviously. if i were you dont try to save money by riggin something up. bending is ok, cutting and splicing is bad. just buy the correct fittings and convert the metal lines to high pressure reinforced rubber lines. with the correct fuel line clamps as well.

Yes, you can splice in rubber fuel lines, and it probably won't leak, ever, 12 psi is nothing.

BUT you run the risk of burning you car to the ground if they ever do leak, it's not worth it.

I really like JPrevost's idea of bolting them up and then bolting the TBI down.

When I installed my 3/4" spacer I think I just grabbed the lines and bent them by hand until they fit.
