i have seen some stock lt1 heads for sale that look fairly good and was wondering if it was possible to put these on my 91 305 tbi with and lt1 cam.i know theb cam will work b/c i have seen that but would i have any problems with my edelbrock tbi intake?? would it be fairly simple. right now im just kind of investigating this so any advise you guys have i could use.

it is possible but not really worth it. I have an article on my site. New water passages have to be drilled and sleeved. Old water passages have to be caped and welded. Intake bolts all have to change because GenI intakes don't bolt onto the GenII heads. They would have to be milled slightly I think to keep the compression up.....

You wouldn't have to get 'em milled anyway. LT1's have a 55cc combustion chamber...As good as the LT1/LT4 heads are, they are certainly not worth the trouble to retrofit 'em onto earlier blocks.

you would have to still mill them because you need to mill off the leftovers from the water coolant plug that is welded on to the face of the head.
