Bad idle

I was looking over my engine today and i noticed the intake was sort of oily where the seal was, and the valve covers are as well, but its not to bad, but could the leaky seal for the intake be the cause of my bad idle? Its got a complete tuneup, plugs wires cap roter fuel pump, strainer/filter, 14x3 open element, its a 350 tbi, im wondering if the injectors might be bad as well, its got over 190k

350 TBI in a f-body and you make it sound as if it came like that from the factory.
Do you have any smoke coming out when you're driving? If not then I don't think your intake has a leak, if it did you would have coolant (or oil) burning. It sounds like you have a bad hose, do you know WHAT the "oily" stuff is? Dry it all up and start the car, have a friend come over and watch for any small leaks. You might just have a hose going bad. My friends 87 cav was broken down and I found that it was a 6" piece of hose behind the engine. Lucky for me I found it and fixed it (today) before he spent $45 for a diagnostics (stupid shop) and then $200 (for a water pump they "say" is broke)! HA
Give it some gas when you're looking, if it's a hose then you'll see a spray somewhere (or you should). Until you find out what it is and where, I can't help. Only thing I can say is yes, it could be the cause of your bad idle.

I'm sorry i never said what type of vehicle it was, its a 91 chevy p/u half ton, and no it doesnt burn oil, its really is a good running truck but the wierd thing about is sometimes it runs really smooth and sometimes and just runs like crap, and the leak looks like it's coming from the valve covers and traveling down along the intake and down the back of the block, its a very slow leak it looks like, i mean it doesnt drip onto the ground or anything, could the valve cover gaskets give the truck a bad idle?

Or do you think re-timing it would do the trick?

Definatly look into that leak. Replacing valve cover gaskets are easy. Change them clean it up and see if that helps.
