Do you TBI guys find that you have better gas mileage than TPI guys? And I mean similar engines, so I guess this question is only for 305's. I am curious because I am looking into a 5.7 or 5.0 Camaro and want to know what will be more affordable or if it matters, and I'm sure it does, etc. Thanks.

Also, does anyone know if AAA insurance is the same for a 25th anniversary v8 RS as the v6 RS's???

 

I don't know if this applies to all TPI's but I know I get a little better mileage with my modified 5-Speed 5.0 TBI than a friend of mine gets with his stock Automatic Z-28 with 5.0 TPI, we both drove our cars to Clearwater,Fl two weeks ago and we filled up at the same time but he had to stop for gas after about 380 miles and I still had 1/4 tank left then, but I filled up anyway and I had 30 MPG to his 27 MPG, that kind of made him mad that my car is faster and can get better mileage. And as far a insurance goes it depends on your age and driving record, I pay about $250.00 a year for just liability on my Camaro.
