Ram Air

Cut snorkel off leaving 3inches.Cut hole in front of air cleaner leaving 2 tabs on each end.Take tube that went to snorkel and fasten oval end over tabs in front hole seal to air cleaner.Obtain 3inch air inlet hose at autozone etc.Install hose to cut off snorkel and to tube you just put to front of air cleaner.Remove inside headlights, run hose through 3inch existing holes behind lights fasten to light sockets, make nice scoop, install coarse screen in headlight retainers to keep the big bugs out etc.I then installed 3inch tall KN element added 1inch rubber (door seal)around air cleaner top to seal it up tight.Works better then open element I had and it is cheap!

YOU still have high and low beam on outside headlights. You could also run hoses under bumper, or move parking lights to grill and use those holes for air pick up etc.You just have to use some thought and experiment. If you still arent feeling bright enough add fog lights!

Honestly, no offense, but how clean does that look? Sure performance is nice, but I rather looks and performance than a ghetto rigged set-up that works better. There's only one homeade setup that I've ever seen that didn't look bad. I guess I'm just picky.

Looks very clean if done neatly. All portions must be secured with tyes and fit of new snorkel to air cleaner if done properly looks factory if done neatly, last car show I was at the car took first place in 1990 to 2000 class against corvettes monte carlos etc. Many people at the show ask me were I ordered the ram air kit from so I dont think it looks bad.Of course even factory parts can look like s t if the wrong fool gets heavy handed. My RS has 84000 actual miles and has t tops pwr everything ac,in other words just about every option avalible and is garage kept.I tell you this to let you know I am very concerned about apearence also and would not GHETTO it up as you said. Basicaly the car looks like new inside and out. Thanks Rich
