well i haven't had this car very long it got a 305 tbi i dont know much but clearly the pump or whatever it is coming from the back of the AIR system wasn't hooked up, and its been running fine. i take the part out and all the tubes connected to the headers and everything, start it back up and it still runs fine, the next day im driving and at a stop light turning left and some ******* almost hits me so i get pissed and speed around him. then all of the sudden the idle is sporadic as hell. like from 1000 to 3500 rpms. i get back home, look it over, plug the pump back up and connect the tubes, and it doesn't help. but i also had the aircan off and noticed the spacer between it and the carb the gasket on it is deteriorating so i pull some of it off (dont know if it needs to have a good seal or not, could be that) can anyone help me?
