is it possible?

i was planing on buying an early 90s' TBI car that i would later drop my 350 in (i wrecked my formula) the thing is before the engine goes back in any car, its gonna be a built 383 w/ TPI. the only thing im worried about is that i wont be able to pass emissions. i would need to pass by 305 TBI emissions specs right?

btw, if you need part e-mail me... im parting out my car.

I'm am not really sure about the emissions. I always thought as long as u passed the smog test that any car was good to go. But Michigan never has emmision tests (atleast not mid michigan) so I am unsure. It seems to me that if u can get TPI on that 383 and get it to run properly then u shouldn't have a hard time passing emmisions.

it varys from state to state. In CA you would just tell them you got a L98 from a another f-body or Vette the same year or newer and have to pass emissions for the 350. You don't need to tell them its a 383. They can't look inside your engine.

You'd be surpised. I heard in New Jersey or New York you aren't allowed to change the engine to non-stock offering without getting a "Hot Rod" or "Street Rod" sticker or something.
