A few months ago I picked up an open-box 2bbl analog Pro-Jection kit from my bud for $300. It hadn't been installed, but the harness was already assembled.

I installed everything, it went in pretty easily, only problem was I didn't have any fuel pressure. I found that the pump was frozen- bought a new updated one.

Next, the injectors weren't firing- Someone installed both powers to one injector and both grounds to the other injector.

Got it to run and it smoked BAD, it was pouring fuel into the intake, even when I lowered the FP to 8#. I read that the injectors (85#) were too big for a stock 350, so I put everything on hold for a while.

I went out today, plugged the TB and TPS in and checked the voltage (just for ****s-n-giggles)- 4.5V@ idle, 1V@ WOT!!! Some dumb**** had wired it backwards!

I fixed that, and set the FP@ 15#, it started breaking up BAD!, like I had a Vac leak- checked the 2 lines I've got and everything was OK.

Swapped plugs and pumped the FP up to 25#.

RUNS LIKE A SCALDED CAT! The throttle response is AWESOME!

Now it just breaks up @4200 during WOT. I'm gonna play with the FP a little more, The 02 reads .750-.850 when I free rev it, probably running lean on the top end.

I just thought you guys would like to know that someone got the POS to run.

Oh, anyone want to buy a Holley 600 Vac.Sec. with a BG secondary metering block and a quick change spring kit?

When those ProJections are running good they are actually ok but be careful. Too much FP (more than 15psi for extended periods) and the injectors will STBed. Also, make sure the wiring is PERFECT with no hope of corrosion happening in the future or you will be stranded in the rain...

I have a Digital 2BBl with the O2 kit that I use to break in engines and for farting around. Runs like a raped-ape with a nice HEI curve!!! Like real nice but sooner or later, after a month or six, something always goes wrong... Good to about 300-325hp, too (in "big-block" mode on a 350SBC!), but doesn't like more than 5600rpm or so. I don't think the injectors can "move" fast enough to handle more rpm than that.

I'm gonna pick up a new FP gauge this weekend. I should be close to 280HP right now, only spinning it to 5K-5200, so I'm good there.

I was hoping to run it on my 327, but I guess that's out of the question (7200+RPM).
