You don't need to remove your smog stuff to put this on, you just need to move the passenger side snorkel up a little bit. To make it look good get a aftermarket breather and use the H.O. air cleaners breather hole for your air sensor. I used a pcv valve gromet to seal arond it. It looks factory this way, don't relocate you air sensor.

The Duel Snorkle fits great.. I did find in order for the passanger duct to fit properly I moved it to a different location. Lucky for me in my situation was I don't have "Air". Here are some pics. As for the sensor, I just drilled out a hole in the new Air Cleaner for it, so it's back in the same place as on the original Air Cleaner.

Here you can see where I moved the Air Diverter for the smog system.

And here you can see where I put the sensor.

I hope the pics work. If not here are some direct links.

I didn't say remove it, I said as long as it's out of the way.

When I did this on my 91 I had to unbolt the unit from the smog air pump. So I did have to "remove." I couldn't figure out how to move it out of the way since the pipe coming from the smog pump is solid with a flat face (no adjustments).
I gutted my dual snrk. setup and used large pvc end caps with silicon sealer for the holes left by the Thermac crap. The difference between the stock air cleaner gutted and the dual snorkel is noticable. At least for me it was. Best way to tell is to drive around with no air cleaner (don't forget to hook up the IAT), then run with the stock setup, then the dual snorkel. You should notice a difference if you have slight modifications like I did (headers, full exhaust, 6 deg. advance).

Some would say yes it is, other would say no. If you have a good induction hood, and open element would be good. But for a stock hood I like the snorkles, draws cold air, and at speed has a nice ram air effect. I personally like the Duel Snorkle for the fact that I can draw cold air.. Though the only thing I don't like is how much restriction there is for the air to get to the intake duct. But Since I don't race, it's not that big of a deal.
