HEY JPREVOST
Do you know what the major difference between the 8063 ecm (I have) and the more common 8746 ecm? And Is burning your own proms for this computer even possible if I start doing it? Dont want to waste the investment of the equpitment. Can you reccomend a chip that would work well with this ecm and a 350? Or is the stock chip from a caprice with this ecm the best im going to do? (You seem to know your ****)

I don't know if there are any differences but the 8063 hasn't been "hacked" because of it's limited production time. The 8746 and 7747 have been around for years and from what I've read, both of them swap right in. I think it's been said that the 7747 doesn't need any wires cut BUT I could be wrong. I looked into swapping ecms but then the 8746 hack file was released and so I kept it, did some custom definition file work and now it's all good. I don't know about the 8063 ecm but did it come with VATS? I forget but if it didn't then that could be a difference.
If I were you I would swap in a 8746, no wires need to be changed from what I've read but definatly ask and do a search over on the diy_eprom board. The best ecm for TBI is the 8746, then the 7747. For a 350 swap I would get the 8746 and use a cop car (anlu.bin) eprom until you got into burning eproms or could get me some diacom runs. Another option is to tune with fuel pressure. This will either give you a rich idle or a super rich WOT so it isn't the best way. Once you get the new ecm and eprom you can then tap into the o2 sensor and watch the value, tune the fuel pressure until it's around 450mv.
I'm pretty sure the 8746 just swaps right in but definatly do a post on the diy_eprom board. If you need a source for the cop car eprom let me know through e-mail.
