RPM going up and down.

My RPM is going nuts. When i have have the car in parked the RPM goes up and down like crazy...and when I stop when in Drive. I changed the TPS,IAC,and M.A.P. sensor...and still does it!!!What can yall recommand to make my idle run better?thanks.

Depends on your engine type. For TPI I would check our your MAF sensor first. For TBI or carb start with fuel pressure.

I would also check fr some vacuum leaks. When i had one my car would not idle good at all. If you check for leaks and think you might have one spotted, get a can of carb cleaner and spray it in that area. If the car revs slighly when u spray then you have found a vacuum leak

Is it the guage that is bouncing a lot or is I the engine revig a lot.

If the tach needle is bouncing (you also notice slight surging), then you have some plugs and wires fried.

I don't know it the needle is your problem or not, but I was on mine and 75 dollars and two cut up forarms later it was a new car.

Thanks for the tips guys.My car is a '89 305 TBI firebird.I'll that carb cleaner and try for a vacuum leak.Thanks.I keep ya'll posted.
