i was wondering if i can put the truck tbi unit from jegs part number(510-502-5) on my 92 camaro (L03) it says its a direct fit for an 87-89 5.0l chevy truck if it doesnt then anyone know where i can get one for my car

It won't work. You'll need to rip off the stock intake and bore it out or get a new intake for the 2" bore to work. I wouldn't bother and I really don't have time to go into detail. All I'll say is do a search for 670 2" TBI holley and all that jazz. There are a lot of good posts that explane that the 1 11/16" stock TBI is good for 300hp.

the truck intake is also 1 11/16" throttle bores.. apparently the holley tbi unit comes with some kind of tapered plate that goes from the 2" to 1 11/16".. I don't know if this is of any advantage though and therefore I have never bothered to replace mine.

you dont need it nor want it until you have passed the 230hp mark. it wont help unless you are burning your own chips as well

 

i plan on getting over the 230 mark and plan on getting a new chip just working my way up there were can i get the tbi unit to fit my car with a direct bolt on
