aftermarket intake

Will there be a large gain switching from the stock intake on a TBI car to an edlebrock intake? Havent done this mod yet, but am considering if its worth the cash.
thanx 4 yor time

i did the intake with a bunch of other stuff so i don't know what it does on it's own. a while ago horse power tv did the intake along with a full exhaust and picked up like 30 rear wheel hp. so i would say the gain would be noticable. and it would certainly help your mileage if nothing else.

I installed mine after my exhaust. Acceleration seems smoother and quicker now that it can breathe better. But I have no times or dyno numbers to show you.

It certainly was NOT a SOTP mod, I wouldn't suggest spending the money for a new one unless you plan on doing other internal work on the block.

However, if you can get a deal on one (I paid $70 for mine) then go for it.

In Chevy High performance they gained .5 seconds off the 1/4mile with just adding an edelbrock manifold and a Holley fuel pump. If it's not that big of a difference then I don't understand why people do it.. I just ordered the TBI manifold and an AFPR and I am hoping to get into 14's with this.. (currently low 15's)...

I'd go single plane on a 350. Shane B got low 13s on his Vortec 350 with a torker2. I haven't seen anyone do the same with TBI and a dual plane. http://members.tripod.com/GRK_Taz/efi.html
