hood clearence
I think it will be taller than stock. I dunno how much air will be around the top of your engine to make that airgap effective... keep us posted.

well if it is any taller than the preformer rpm you are going to have fun tring to make it fit. i have the rpm and i have to jack up the back of the hood and put a little foam air cleaner to put mine in and i think the air gaps are little talller than the rpms.
The problem your going to have is getting it all to fit under the stock hood. I assume your going to use a TBI adaptor plate to do this, and then an open el. on top of that. The problem is the Air-Gap is taller than the regular RPM and we couldn't fit anything but a pro-flow edelbrock under the stock hood that used to be on Mike's (Cam89rs?) car and it still dented in the top. Time for a cowl!

If it has a air gap at all, it's an rpm. The performer does not have nor is it availible with an air gap. As far as there being any difference in incomming air temp with an airgap manifold, yes you should see a lower temp by not having the hot oil from the engine spashing on the bottom of the intake runners and of course the lower the air temp comming into the intake the lower it will stay due to this fact. Just remember for every 10deg. drop in temp you should see a 1% hp increase. On a 200hp engine thats 2hp, so if you could drop the temp 50 to 80degs thats power you can fill. Now do the math if you making more than that, say 250 to 300hp. Can't wait till fall!
