rich or lean??????



i have a 305 tbi and i put pace setter headers on a bigger cam not too big and edelbrock intake now it has no torque and has no real power i went from a roller cam to a flat tappet cam do i need a new chip or are these messing up my fuel settings

The best way to know is with a scan tool. But since you don't have one, pull the plugs and see for yourself. You really don't want us to guess do you? The diagnosis with a scan tool will also answer your question of needing a custom chip burned for those mod's. We checked my engine last week. LT1 cam swap, SLP 1-5/8 headers, 3" exhaust, Random technologies cat, S&B open air filter and the vAFPR. We found the stock chip was still handling the mod's fine. We did burn a new chip to tweak it a bit, add a bit of timing at WOT and remove the speed limiter. But it was running strong and really pulling mid-high rpm's great with the stock chip. Bottom line; borrow a scan tool.
