Plug gap and MSD 6AL...

I have heard that I should keep stock plug gap and then I've heard to open it up .010". I don't know anyone who's actually tried it, so what's your expirience.

http://www.jeepz.com/offroad/howto/engine/tfi/ I did this to my Jeep. It says open gap .010 for adding a Blaster coil and even more if you use a MSD box. I haven't gotten around to do my plugs yet. I put 8.5mm wires and unpgraded from a 12 year old 20k volt coil to a new MSD Blaster 3 45k volt coil.

Spark plug gaps
stock canister type coil - 0.035"
HEI, TFI, or any of the high out put aftermarket coils - 0.045"
MSD module or other CDI ignition module - 0.045" to 0.065"

On my old TPI i was runnign a .050 gap with rapid fires. thats .015 over stock. I had MSD 6A, Hypertech coil, Brass contacts on everything and MSD low resistance witres.
Worked great!

Open up the gap .010", it'll work great,as long as you have good wires.
