Open element question....

Hey guys, I know this is a 3rd gen / f-body site, but you guys are awsome about having answers and helping out. I was wondering if putting a open element on my dads 1990 dodge ram d150 with the 318 tbi would be the same as putting one on a third gen tbi? I got that tech article with the step by step on how to put the open element on a third gen tbi and thought maybe I could use it to help with putting one on our truck. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Re: Open element question....

i can't say for sure, but i bet it would be the same. i would just take a look at what the truck has and make sure it is all addressed in the Thirdgen tech article (i.e. sensors, etc.). since it's around the same vintage, i bet they're not too much different.
