The big hello

Man.. what a fun weekend so far.. just picked up a damn pretty '88 with TBI.. so, up from the v6 board I come. Hi. =P

Any things to look for in a high milage TBI motor as possibly in need of preventative maintainance, etc? Want to make sure this baby stays happy. =)

Hello James. A virgin LO3 huh? Just start reading everything posted in the past and you will pick up a lot. For now just make sure that the regular maint items are done.

Yeah.. virgin.. right. 165-265 thousand miles (I think 165, but the title begs to differ).. little seasoned =P

Regular maintainance seems to have been done at every turn minus the poor tranny and crankcase air filter.. working on oil pressure sending unit for the gauge (which is sitting at zero.. kinda spooky) and fuel pump relay (not oil backup pump relay, which is the only way the car starts)

But.. yeah.. seems I've been left with very little to do.. kinda nice really =) now if I can just get my cap/rotor/coil on today..
