The big hello
Man.. what a fun weekend so far.. just picked up a damn pretty '88 with TBI.. so, up from the v6 board I come. Hi. =P
Any things to look for in a high milage TBI motor as possibly in need of preventative maintainance, etc? Want to make sure this baby stays happy. =)

Performance mods: MSD Coil
Audio mods: swapping system from v6 and building new fiberglass box
'86 Camaro SC, black /w silver racing stripes
2.8l MPFI/700r4 /w special 2nd gear delete option
Misc Mods: Cut air box, '83 Firebird spoiler.
Performance Parts: Accel 8mm wires, SplitFire plugs, Gabriel hijackers.
Audio Mods: Pioneer DEH-P3000, two 12" Optimus Pro Audio subs in hand-made enclosure each powered by a 260 watt Optimus amp. Working on shaving the box for weight.

Hello James. A virgin LO3 huh? Just start reading everything posted in the past and you will pick up a lot. For now just make sure that the regular maint items are done.

Yeah.. virgin.. right. 165-265 thousand miles (I think 165, but the title begs to differ).. little seasoned =P
Regular maintainance seems to have been done at every turn minus the poor tranny and crankcase air filter.. working on oil pressure sending unit for the gauge (which is sitting at zero.. kinda spooky) and fuel pump relay (not oil backup pump relay, which is the only way the car starts)
But.. yeah.. seems I've been left with very little to do.. kinda nice really =) now if I can just get my cap/rotor/coil on today..
