Either open the drain valve on the bottom of the radiator or just remove the lower rad hose from the water pump.

It's a lot easier to drain from the radiator. Doesn't require removing any hose clamps BUT the coolant WILL splash all over the swaybar. Some stupid engineer forgot about it when he designed the drain plug.

If you're going to drain your system then don't drain from the block. Besides, draining from the block is more of a PITA. The only way to get coolant out would be to unplug one of the sensors. Even then, they aren't the lowest point so you won't get all the coolant out.
