Edelbrock triangle air filter
Edelbrock triangle air filter
I just bolted on my Edelbrock Elite series Triangle breather (pn# 4222) AND I LOVE IT!!!!!! The "sucking" sound is AWESOME, sounds a lot like my 79 camaro used to with a 4bbl on top. My LO3 has never sounded better. I don't think I really "feel" any difference but the sound alone was worth the $70.99 at autozone, that includes the K&N filter!!! Anyone else on here from GA. I'm in one of the lucky 13 counties with emissions but I hit 180k miles today so I'm really trying to get a good emissions legal 350 plan in place. I really want to keep my TBI setup (probably go with the holley) and I want to get somewhere in the neighborhood of the 350HO specs. 330hp and 380+lb-ft. any good ideas out there? I will be running a 3" cat and new cat-back. I haven't decided which headers yet, and I am going to try to start burning my own chips. Maybe I can figure out a lean running "emissions" chip, and then another for my daily driving. I want to upgrade to a 3.42 gear and a T-56 from my T-5.

it is a flat base. I was able to remove the spacer ring off the top of my TBI to help unshroud my injector pod. It bolted right up with no prob. I did have to rig up a spacer for the top of the lid. I used the factory hold down bolt but it ran out of threads before my wing nut hit the lid. It was about 3/8" too long. It looks great, I don't have a dig camera or I would have posted a pic of mine.
the round units come with a standard paper filter, not a K&N. Add another $38 for a 14"x3" K&N filter for your unit and your cost is up to $68. One last thing, I think the triangle breather looks a lot more original, lots of people have round ones.
