Torque converter opinions please...

I want to get a 2000 stall converter sometime in the near future. I want to as cheap as possible without getting crap. Is there any factory converter this stall speed? '90-'91 Corvette maybe?

Pros / Cons of B&M, TCI and such?

Do a search on this over on the tranny board - you'll find a ton of ideas including part numbers.

i have an slp tq converter the 2300-2500 one.. and i have had no problems with it at all since it was installed in about feb. but i will say its around 300. i do believe stock vette convertors stall around 2000 or so and would work for a cheaper alternitive.

a stock convertor from a 4cyl s-10 is rated at 2200 behind the 4cyl motor. it would stall at about 2400-2600 behind a v8. they are cheap, easy to find, and fairly storng considering even a 4cyl s-10 is rated for towing 3000lbs
