Last night I was changing the oil in my car, and I was telling my dad about my car, because I was thinking it was burning oil because if I accelerate kind of hard, it stinks, bad. It doesnt smoke though. He put his finger up in the exhaust pipe in the back, and he got a thick black coat of something on his finger, it was all gooey. He said he didnt think it was oil because he smelled it and he said it didnt smell like any thing. I was thinking maybe it was carbon or something but then my car would be shooting black smoke wouldnt it? Also, he took that metal blow by hose, or whatever it's called, out of my valve cover and off the breather, and it had oil in it, and my breather had a little bit of oil in it. He said the rings were probably bad and oil was coming up past the rings, through the blow by, and it might be getting sucked back into the TBI. It still runs good, but that cant spell good news for my engine can it? How much is a rebuild kit for a 305 lol.
