Got the new intake on, hmmm...
Sounds like there is noise coming from inside the manifold?!? Everything works alright. I think it's the fuel injectors "echoing" in the Holley plenum. Mine were always loud (new ACD's), I figure since the Holley has a huge plenum compared to the Edelbrock, it wasn't as loud before.
Then again, I was driving around with the dog house (engine cover) off and you REALLY hear the engine going then. Still worries me tho.

I think it sounds kind of cool. Then when you blip the throttle a little you hear that huge rush of air.
I do find myself wishing that it wasn't to loud all the time. Doesn't help that I don't have the hoodliner let alone much underbracing.
Any leaks? Guess not since you didn't say anything. So what did you use to seal up the intake this time?

Man you have no idea! This thing sounds like a hurricane with the dog house off. You can tell it's swallowing massive amounts of atmosphere.
I used "The Right Stuff" on the end seals. Ultra Black around the water passages and brush tack to keep 'em in one place while putting the manifold on.
Seems like this "Right Stuff" turns into rubber! It's wierd. It dried very firm. I like it. RTV stays too squishy. For $13 a can this stuff better hold the oil in!
I put the scanner on it. Looks like everything it idles where it used to. There is no way to tell if the EGR disable worked tho, WinALDL doesn't say. When I parked it for some reason the kPa looked higher than normal (40 somethin), dunno. I haven't used the scanner in a long time so I forgot where closed loop idle was at park.

Yeah the IAC is noisy, but this is a different kinda noise

I run a voltmeter to the EGR actuation wire and look for changes in voltage to check for EGR actuation. EGR will be off on a cold motor at startup, so measure any voltage then. If you see jumps/changes in it as the engine temp rises, the ECU is working the EGR Spark and Fuel changes...
