Trent, the best way to relieve the pressure, is remove your gas tank cap, this should relieve most of the pressure, if not just stuff some paper towel to soak up as much as you can, i just got done putting in new intake gaskets, and when i removed my throttle body, that was all i had to do, wel hope that helps

 

you can also run you car and pull the fuel pump fuse. So I've heard.

Disconnect the fuel lines at the end near the alternator first. No matter how long you let the car sit with the gas cap off you are gonna get a little gas flow. Just have a couple of paper towels handy to soak up the gas that drips out.
