Fan Relay, Which One.........

I know this one is easy for you guys, but i can't find it in the HAYNE'S MANUEL? Which one is the relay for the fan? The one closests to the fender, or the other one? They look exactly alike! Under what topic do ilook under in the Hayne's Manuel? I couldn't find it in the index? I have a 92 Firebird, 305 TBI. Thanx again guys!

Here is how to find out.

Take a razor and slice into one of the green wires. Not all the way through, just enough so there is metal to metal contact. Then take some wire and hold it to the razor and to a ground. If the Key is on then you should hear the relay click then the fan should come on. That is how i figured it out. If you cut into the wrong wire just take it up.

Hope this helps.

It should be the one closest to the fender. The one next to it on the inside should be for the fuel pump.
