Edelbrock Intake question.........

For you guys who are running the Edelbrock TBI Intake, did it improve off idle power???? Was there a noticable improvement in take off???? Am only interested if this is the only mod you did at that time.......I have hheard they make a difference thru out the whole RPM range...

I know when I put my Performer Intake on my 350, it made a HUGE difference in my off idle power at very low RPM's.....Thanks, Tom

Re: Edelbrock Intake question.........

I have a 88 LO3 that I put one on and I did notice a difference throughout the RPM range. Didn't notice that much off idle but did notice the engine seemed to run a bit smoother.

Re: Edelbrock Intake question.........

I felt no difference at all. A dyno run likely would have confirmed my butt dyno read out. Until you replace the stock cam the intake is not a bottleneck.

Got ya, have the cam, headers, and SFC's...Just still trying to make up my mind on an intake..Like I said my old performer really woke up my off idle response, and was trying to figure out if this TBI version did the same...So you could'nt really tell much difference till after the cam change, huh??I also installed the new "A.S.S.Dyno" in my car....BTW, Shifty, I was looking at an old "Car Craft" mag the other day, and came across a quote by you....Quite a suprise....Thanks, Tom
