Bad Fuel Injector/TBI, NEED IMMEDAITE HELP

Its the injector I think, ok I will discribe this, if i have my digital camera I'd point it out.

I HAVE TBI, so when you are looking face down at it with the air filter off you see those two fat things that aim down into a very clean little pans, ealier it seemed fixed. Both of these fuel injectors, (assuming here) were spraying and it was running fine, went and added fuel injector cleaner, worked for a while, now its back to not doing anything. The passanger side one isn't spraying anything into the little pan like the drivers side one is.

I looked at those torx screws and tried to take that sides apart but it isn't coming apart.

I don't have to replace the whole TBI do I, i mean what does this soudn liek, I posted mroe abotu this here

If you don't have spray, you've got issues. Swap the clips on top of the injectors (those fat thingys pointing down) from right to left to make sure that it isn't bad wiring. By this I mean, put the functioning injectors' wiring clip onto the nonfunctioning injectors' top. [By the way, they spray down onto your butterflies - they aren't actually 'pans'] You can't remove just one side of your tower top - the whole shebang comes off (the Torx fittings you mentioned).

Go swap the injector wiring and let us know what happens.

Well I swapped them and it kinda started and it kinda didn't. But when i went to look, it looked like the passanger side had sprayed. But I'm not postive, I will try tomorrow in daylight after work and get my mother to watch it while i try to start it.

You might want your mother to start the car while you watch. I'd hate to see you burn your mothers face off if the car backfired.

swap the wires, send me an e-mial about exactly what happpens, and get a pic, if you can, i know a guy that makes tbi's and made mine, ill ask him, and he should have an idea, but like i said switch the wires from the left to the right, or bad to the good, if the one that was good is all of a sudden bad, you have a wiring problem, if its not your wiring its probably a dirt injector, also check your fuel pressure, i had a similar problem before, my injector was stuck open, constanlty spraying ALOT of fuel, i suppose the same could happen and keep it shut. its not the cat like the people said on the other form, a cat wouldnt stop an injector from working, also how many miles are on your car

If u end up needing to replace the TBI it has 1.4 inch bores anyways if u wasnt some extra power get a new Holley throttle body for about $350. it has 2 inch bores for better airflow that will give u better performance, but if u do that then make sure u get more air to it otherwise it will be a waste. The stock injectors are very restrictive on letting air into the manifold so if u open it up and get it the air to fuel it u can expect about 25-40 extra hp depending on the condition of your motor.
