well my car is now quicker with the highly upgraded edelbrock TES headers, 3" edelbrock cat back, and the much higher flowing 3" catco catalic converter, and an open edlebrock air cleaner. i getting more and more happy with the 305. the 305 is a good runner, when you fix what is wrong with it from the factory. next i want to get a set of march underdrive pulleys, and a performance chip. i thinking i want to use a jet stage 2 performance chip. have any of you guys used any of these two products? can i really expect to get 10 hp out of underdrive pulleys? and how much power is a jet stage 2 chip worth? maybe a corvette servro for my trans. how much would i expect to pay for a corvette servo and how hard is it to install? i also want to do some suspension work. where would the best place to start with my stock RS camaro. the car handles good, however there is always room for improvements. what is the best thing to start with? strut tower brace, better sway bars, panhard arm, ect.

Re: next mods

I had a Jet Stage II in my car. If you buy one just tape it to the firewall, it's pretty worthless.

Re: next mods

Agreed about the Jet Chip - pretty worthless.

I would 86 the underdrive pulleys too - the tradeoff just aren't worth it. You will be increasing the load on your electrical system for a couple of ponies, and you may find they cause other problems as well. Search for reviews on this site -- you will find many have had them and they caused problems. Some people run them okay thou.

I would move onto the suspension work. Best place to start ? I'd have to say, springs, struts/shocks, sways and new poly-bushings will make a huge difference if your suspension is still stock.

I would add that learning to tune followed up by a cam swap would make a lot of sense. You have all the restrictions going into and out of the engine taken care of, now it's time to remove the tiny stock cam and really open it up.

I say 30-40 hp wouldn't be a stretch with the right cam as long as you have it tune well. Just tuning would open up 10-20 hp.

Re: next mods

well i already replaced all of the sway bar links last year. rear shocks were also replaced. does replacing the front struts effect allignment? i just got new tires a month ago. kelly springfrield ultra GT, and i also had an alliagnment done. i also replaced the centerlink and idler arm in the front. i would like to maybe get a strut tower brace, how much of a difference does that make? im not going to do a cam this year, but i am really interested in getting my car a new tune with my new exuast system. but i dont know where to start. i have no idea how to do a "tune". i dont want to screw it up and i dont have the equipment, yet. if i do decide to do a cam, how much of a gain can i expect? and how much will it cost me in millage, if any. this car is my daily summer drive. i drive cheap 500 dollar cars in the winter and i keep the camaro nice for the summer. i dont have a newer car that i drive to work everyday, the camaro is that nice car that i drive to work in the summer. in the winter i simply dont care what i drive, as long as it runs. so in short, the camaro has to have affordable gas milleage. i am very please with what it gets now, especailly with the exuast which seems to improve milleage. and i love the new sound my car makes, damn it sounds good. so would a cam kill my fuel economy, if not that might be a next year project. a tune is deffiently in order and so is suspension work.
