Gears should cost a lot more than 3" exaust. Get the 3" exaust and get a whole rearend from a junk v6 camaro. They have up to 3.42 gears.

Yeah I know about the cost difference, and I am not getting junkyard rearend, 3.73s in my rear end. I know 3.73s might be a little too much for a LO3, but I am gonning to bo "growing" into them. Gears will give me more gain, I know that, but I just had the attitude of exhaust first. Which?

I say you should go with the flows. Then do the gears after.Once you put some nice noise in the exhaust you will never regret it.Dont get me wrong about the gears. They will be a must in the future if you intend on building an lo3 rocket.
