Were working on flamethrowers over in the exhaust board and I found a way to do it but theres one thing I need to know. If you disconnect the positive power of the coil, thus shutting down the ignition, would the fuel injectors still put out gas? If not is there anyway to shutdown the ignition and keep them injecting the gas? If anyone knows please help.

Yeah, our flamethrowers are gonna be cool
. Can't really answer your question, but if you still have your cat this probably isn't the way to go, any unburned fuel would likely ignite in the cat, it could blow up the cat but I'm sure thats exaggerating. That one sites kits for fuel injected cars won't hurt the cat or computer, thats what I'm gonna get.

I don't have a cat so thats not a problem

I don't think its gonna work, unless you have figured out something I didn't think of. If you cut power to the coil, the engine is gonna die and the computer will stop the whole show.

The idea is to cut the power to the distributor, then you turn it back on right before it dies....putting fuel in the exhaust.
Im thinking it's not gonna work.

it will work if you were carbed with no cat. otherwise you have to introduce fuel in the exhaust after the cat, which can be dangerous. I am working on a propane setup if you are interested, email me. This is not a new idea, ive brought it up several times, never got ideas from here so i went it alone. Propane has been done, its actually somewhat safe. killing the engine on a computer controled car is gona throw codes etc, cause bad things to happen. email me, we will talk.
